Safety in the workplace: an important topic

A fresh look at a subject we care deeply about and which, today, we want to address through the words of our RSPP, Alessio Capaccioli who will tell us how the issue of safety in the workplace within our companies.

"The respect for the health e security has always been a core value of the company. The constant focus on this aspect is a cornerstone of ownership and it is a value that I have embraced from the very beginning.

We have constantly tried to evolve over time, trying to transmit the culture to the entire labour force.

It is ten years since our company developed a system of management for the securityfirst compliant with OHSAS 18001 and then with subsequent updates to ISO 45001. This firstly guarantees us the compliance regulations in an ever-changing context and enables us to convey culture and awareness in this area.

During 2024, we were among the promoters of the Safety Network of the Plastics, Chemicals and Rubber Sector of Confindustria Toscana Centro e Costa, i.e. a group of companies that shared and signed a phealth and safety policy with the aim of promoting good management, technical and operational practices, to develop more 'innovative methodologies to attract and keep the level of personnel interest in safety issues constantly high' and 'for the empowerment and progressive acquisition of awareness by the workforce'. The group has only recently been set up, but several companies other than the initial promoters are joining, also outside the plastics, chemical and rubber sectors, and the hope is to grow thanks to the sharing experiences and knowledge.”
